Worship Ministry
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. — Psalm 95:1-2 |
We are so glad you have chosen to come to Conifer Community Church!
What is Worship? One of the best definitions of worship is a quote from William Temple, the Archbishop of Canterbury, “Worship is the submission of all our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness, nourishment of mind by His truth, purifying of imagination by His beauty, opening of the heart to His love and submission of will to His purpose. All this gathered up in adoration is the greatest of expressions of which we are capable.” In basic terms, worship is showing God His worth to us, and allowing Him to express our worth to Him through His Word. Worship Service All are welcome to participate in our weekly worship service. We try to create a gospel centered, God exalting, Biblically grounded, Spirit powered environment where God is the audience. People are invited to come as they are. When many people talk about or ask questions about worship, many times they are referring to a style of music. Our understanding of worship is more than musical expression. When we participate in corporate worship we are proclaiming a story. The Gospel in motion. |
