Senior Pastor Lance Swearengin
Since September 2010 Pastor Lance Swearengin has been serving Conifer Community Church. His mission is to live a life of worship, lead others to know God, and love all with grace and encouragement.
Pastor Lance was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and grew up in the St. Louis, Missouri area. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in religious studies with minors in art and business. Pastor Lance received his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. While working on his divinity degree, Lance began serving part time as associate pastor of youth and discipleship at West Hills Community Church in the St. Louis area. Later, after graduating, he worked full time, serving eight years in this position. He left West Hills to become a church planter/pastor sowing the seeds of what became WayPoint Church in O’Fallon, Missouri. He spent five years there before accepting the pastorate at Conifer Community Church. Pastor Lance is married to Melanie, who he met when they were working as DJs at an Auburn University radio station. They have two children, Tyler and Megan. His interests include skiing, mountain biking, running and competing in triathlons. He also plays guitar and sings, and enjoys listening to all kinds of music. As Conifer Community Church’s pastor, Lance is active in reaching out to the local mountain community to make a difference and help unify churches along the 285 corridor. |
