Job Title: Children’s Ministry Director
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Time Requirements: 20-25 hours a week

Job Summary

Responsible for enlisting and training leadership and administering a
children’s ministry in an atmosphere of loving, learning, fun and safety for
children birth through fifth grade.

Qualifications

1. Commitment to Conifer Community Church and Senior Pastor.
2. Endorse and lead according to the values, vision, statement of faith, and
strategy of Conifer Community Church.
3. Must have the giftedness, passion, and skill for ministry with children and
have had experience in leading children’s ministries.
4. Must be able to enlist, train and supervise others for children’s ministry.
5. Ability to relate and work well with others and be flexible.
6. Must be spiritually growing in Christlikeness and prepared and able to mentor
another believer for leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee the organization, training, and management of the Children’s
Ministry and staffing for children birth through fifth grade.
2. Develop scope and sequence of children’s curriculum and equip the teachers
for success in their classrooms.
3. Recruit and train leaders according to need for age graded children’s ministry
units.
4. Coordinate the overall development and communication of children’s
ministries within the church family.
5. Initiate and supervise regular leader planning meetings for maximum learning
experiences at age appropriate levels.
6. Introduce others to Christ as Lord and be mentoring another believer for
leadership.

Relationships

1. Reports to the Senior Pastor.
2. Supervises all children’s ministry volunteers.
3. Must have a strong working relationship with parents.
