Colossians
What we think about Jesus matters. Our understanding of who Jesus is influences everything about us: what we say, how we treat others, and what we think. If we paint Jesus as any less than who He is as supreme over all creation and Savior of the world, not only does our theology slip, but the working out of our faith also suffers. The book of Colossians helps us form a complete picture of who Jesus is and empowers us to live a life worthy to bear His name.
Join us as we walk through Paul’s letter to the Colossians and see how it reveals the fullness of Christ.

Problem Parables
Parables represent a significant yet sometimes difficult genre of Scripture. About 35% of Jesus’ teachings were delivered through parables, and some of those parables are difficult to understand. On the surface, they appear confusing; even ethically or morally difficult to reconcile. Some are problems because they are frequently misinterpreted or misused. Some challenge our understanding of God’s justice or fairness. These sorts of parables contain problems from our perspective and understanding.
There are “problems,” but there are explanations. Even more importantly, there are important truths to apply to our lives. Join us as we walk through some of these “problem” parables and unlock the mysteries they reveal about who God is and how we are to live in response.

The Names of God
From the opening chapters of Genesis through the final verses of Revelation, God is known by many names—names that reveal who He is, what He does, and how He relates to His children. He is El-Roi, “the God who sees me.” He is Jesus, “the Lord is salvation.” He is the Spirit, your Comforter and Counselor. And you? You have a name, too. You are His beloved child, a Christian, one who bears His name.
Join us as we walk through the pages of Scripture, examining the names of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and discover the impact each of God’s names has on our relationship with Him. Each name we encounter will inspire us to worship God for who He is and challenge us to consider how our lives can be transformed in light of His character.
